                                    LEARNING GOAL

This examination syllabus emanates from the TVET trade curriculum on electrical installation and maintenance work. It does not replace the curriculum. It is designed to assess learner's skills in electrical installation and maintenance work in terms of basic knowledge and application of electricity, faults finding in electrical installations as well as maintenance and repair of electrical machines. It is also designed to test learners' knowledge of setting up and managing small scale business in electrical installation and maintenance work. 


                                      OBJECTIVES:

The objectives will enable learners to go through the following:

1. Safety rules and regulation in electrical installation and maintenance work.

2. Electrical installation tools, materials and accessories.

3. Wiring of buildings.

4. Installation of Electrical machines and repairs.

This course introduces students to problem-solving, analytic and critical thinking skills. Students will be exposed to techniques in problem-solving, algorithms, flowcharts and decision-making processes.

This course is developed for beginners in Building Technology. And intends to equip learners with the knowledge, and skills in building materials.

  • understand the uses of building material
  • Demonstrate knowledge  of the properties aggregates

Ms word,  Excel  and  Powerpoint;  Living  online:  Introduction  to  Internet,  managing  media  literacy  and
digital  communication,  email concept.
